Project description:
ECirc4all tackles the challenges of waste reduction and resource conservation by promoting the repair and reuse (RR) of electronics, which performs a crucial function in facilitating the transition to a circular economy (CE). Despite the substantial potential, obstacles still remain in the RR implementation, both in the context of consumer behaviour and awareness and at the business level. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in repair services, for example, often encounter difficulties due to a lack of skilled labour and limited operational capacity. In addition, the lack of cooperation and collaboration between relevant service providers also limits RR opportunities. Therefore, in the course of this project, a cross-border Repair Alliance will be developed and established in the Austrian-Slovenian project region, which optimises repair processes through the seamless exchange of resources, products and information. Thus, added value is created for both providers and consumers throughout the repair ecosystem.
