Mobility Window
Studying Abroad Made Easy!
Would you like to enrich your studies while gaining valuable international experience?
Master’s students in the degree programme Environmental Systems Sciences – Sustainability and Innovation Management have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad through a Mobility Window – either at the University of Padova (Italy) or at the University of Minho (Portugal).
Both universities offer you the chance to take an exciting module that can be fully credited towards the “Environmental Elective Module.” In addition, you may choose further elective courses and, depending on your study focus, have them recognised either within your degree programme or as part of your free electives.
We call this structured opportunity for studying abroad a Mobility Window!
The programme is organised within the framework of the Open Mobility Agreement of the Arqus European University Alliance and is financially supported by an Erasmus+ scholarship.
Your benefits: At both universities, you will find a pre-structured selection of modules addressing exciting topics:
Padova (Winter Semester 2026/27): “Local Development”
This Mobility Window enables you to acquire interdisciplinary foundations for local development processes. You can choose from courses in human geography, spatial and regional development, microfinance, and statistical analysis.
Minho (Summer Semester 2027): “Governance and Management for Sustainability”
This Mobility Window offers in-depth insights into shaping sustainable development. You will connect perspectives from economics, management, and public policy to develop an interdisciplinary understanding.
More information about the modules and courses can be found here.
How can you participate?
Simply apply for an Erasmus study visit to the University of Padova or the University of Minho within the framework of the Arqus Alliance between 9 December 2025 and 22 January 2026. In your motivation letter, please state that you wish to participate in one of the Mobility Windows. The selection process runs in parallel with your Erasmus scholarship application.
